Geoff visits GCA

Glenmore Christian Academy was this year's national champion when it came to raising the most money during the Shave for the Brave. One of its students, Ryan Pietersma, came in third place overall with $5,375!

Geoff Eaton, YACC's Founder and Executive Director, was in Calgary recently and stopped by the school to thank Ryan and talk to the kids in his class about the Shave.

One hair can bear a load of 100 grams (about the weight of a chocolate bar). If a person’s scalp was strong enough, a head of hair could hold 10-15 tonnes!

The Cause

  Since life is different when you’re a young adult, it makes sense that cancer is too.

Young Adult Cancer Canada aims to help every Canadian young adult dealing with cancer by offering programs to inspire, inform, support, and connect with other survivors.
