WestJet DOES care!

We were contacted by some representatives from WestJet in Calgary over the winter who were interested in taking on the Shave for the Brave. While it was an unofficial company event, they applied the WestJet attitude and held a Shave on the tarmac at YYC.

In the end, six employees participated on a sunny May 18, 2011. Their first Shave raised just under $3,000!

Mark Gerelus, the TAC-Team Services Specialist, said, "Everything went really well, we all had a great time, and really great turn out. I must admit, my head is cold."

Good thing he has that nice new yellow toque to wear!

Thank you to everyone at the Calgary International Airport, and the six employees who Shaved for the Brave young adults dealing with cancer. You've taken your friendliness to new heights!
