Head Hunter Kristy Reynolds organized Carbonear's first Community Shave for the Brave at the TC Square on Sunday, June 12. Eight people raised almost $2,000 and donated a few braids which will be donated to make wigs for children through Continental Hair's Wigs for Kids program.
People showed up to Shave alone and with buddies. There were also a couple of parent/child Shave teams with Frances Campbell and her son, Cameron Green, and Chad Parsons and his daughter, Hailey.
Thank you to everyone who Shaved, donated, and volunteered. We can't wait to see what happens next year!
