St. Matthew’s had an incredible first Shave!

St. Matthew's Elementary held their first Shave on April 20, 2011, and we were so impressed with their organization and huge Shaver numbers!
Although some students who planned on Shaving were out sick that day, St. Matthew's had an inspiring 41 Shavers who raised over $8,000! We thought the drum roll as they announced the total was a nice touch.
We had a little lineup change behind the clippers with volunteers from First Choice stepping in to do the Shaving. One of of the stylists had a son who was Shaving for the Brave, so it offered a little extra to the event.
We have to say a special thank you to principal Kyran Dwyer who Shaved, and especially to Head Hunter and teacher Ms. Eileen Babb who donated her hair and Shaved her head!
We know you're going to go even bigger and balder next year, and we can't wait to see it!
