Getting the royal treatment at Queen E

Queen Elizabeth Regional High School held their Shave for the Brave on Thursday, April 7, 2011 organized by student Lesley Dawe (who also gave 10 inches of her long, red hair), and teacher Sophia Slaney.

They had planned for 10 Shavers, but another 19 people jumped on board and Shaved for the Brave on the spot. Since all those other Shavers hadn't had time to raise the registration fee, one teacher made a generous contribution of over $300 to help cover it!

When all the heads were Shaved, the traditional fundraising was done, donations were collected from the crowd during the Shave, and the bake sales stopped, Queen E had raised $2,800!

Thank you to the Shavers, teacher, and everyone who supported the Shave at Queen Elizabeth Regional High School. We look forward to seeing you again!

It’s hard to have a bad hair day when you don’t have any hair! Shave for the Brave and be a lot happier.
