Agnes Nugent inspired us all

On March 13, Agnes Nugent's friends and family gathered at the Trip Inn Lounge in Kelligrews, NL to see her shave her head. Agnes wanted to help young people and she thought the Shave for the Brave would be a good place to start.
In addition to collecting pledges, Agnes held raffles on prizes like a St. Patrick's Day basket. Over all, she was able to raise about $3,000 to help young adults with cancer in Canada!
Jim Kehoe was there to watch and said if the people in the bar would donate $100, he would Shave, too. People need to be careful when they make that kind of statement, because soon, the money was collected and it was Jim's turn to lose his big head of hair.
Thank you to Agnes and her friends and family for supporting the Shave for the Brave, to Jim for jumping in and doing a good deed, and to the Trip Inn for hosting the event.
