We have created a new Facebook app to help you promote your fundraising page and get people donating!

To sign up, log in to your Shave page and click the blue button on the left that says “Update on Facebook with the Shave app.” It will then go to Facebook and prompt you for your password (if you’re not signed in) and ask you to allow the app.

It says stuff about how we’ll collect data even when you’re not using Facebook—we won’t—this is just one of those cautionary things Facebook makes us announce to cover their privacy policy. It might give an error message, but click “allow” again and it should be fine.

The app announces that you’re Shaving (which some of you have already done but it doesn’t hurt to do again), updates your new total once a day when you’ve raised more, and reminds people when your Shave is tomorrow. There’s a link built in that brings people right to your fundraising page when they click on it.

It's a great idea and one that will save you some time so you can go out and collect donations in person while we're working for you on the Internet.
