Shave Thank You Party in St. John’s

We did it! With all the help of this year’s shavers, head hunters, mane mamas, volunteers, donors, sponsors, and other phenomenal supporters, we’ve shaved a RECORD 997 heads and raised a RECORD $310,000+ at 30 different Shave events to support young adults with cancer! Way to go everyone!  We wanted to thank all the amazing individuals and groups who came out and helped make this year such a shiny success, so we held a thank you party at the Comfort Inn in St. John’s on Sunday, April 25.  Those recognized included:

Of course HUGE thanks also goes out to the many first-time out-of province shavers, especially Glenmore Christian Academy in Calgary who helped host our very first Skype Shave Challenge with Mount Pearl Intermediate here in NL! 

An extra thanks also to Bell Aliant, who donated the prizes for the top individual fundraisers, and to our lovely Renee Bennett for speaking at the event. We know that various additional sponsors also stepped up at the various Shave locations here in NL and across the country, like Gander Mall, Marble Mountain, and Southcentre Mall.
