Shave for the Brave News

Thanks Mount Pearl Senior High!

Twelve brave students shaved their heads at Mount Pearl Senior High School today. They are definitely all brave, but recognize that the Shave is FOR the brave, and the symbolic action of shaving their heads is truly for the young adults dealing with cancer in Canada who need the important support programs that Young Adult Cancer Canada (YACC) provides.

Big thanks to each shaver and to their Head Hunter Cheryl Walsh (teacher) for putting off an energetic Shave event and helping to raise more than $1,000 for the cause.  This is enough to send one deserving young adult on a 4-day life-changing weekend Retreat to share with others who “get it”.

Congratulations!

Humans lose an average of 40 to 100 hairs each day. Shave for the Brave and lose all of them in one day!
