Southcentre Mall Shave for the Brave - Thank You Calgary!

The Shave for the Brave has experienced many exciting firsts this year, not the least of which was the first ever Community Shave in Alberta! Head Hunter and YACC Regional Coordinator, Mike Lang, organized a Shave at Southcentre Mall in Calgary. It was an awesome event, with 25 heads shaved and more than $5,000 raised for young adults with cancer! Great job, everyone!
The entertainment even went beyond the shaving of heads - beatboxer Peterpot offered up his unique talents, not only performing for the crowd, but also teaching a few “tricks of the trade” as well. There was even a mullet pageant… yes, a mullet pageant, at the event. For weeks in advance of the Shave, Mike and his mullet buddies helped with the hype, using mulletwatchcalgary.com as their major promotional tool. What initiative, and what a cool idea!
